DXC – The Repricing Is Gaining Momentum
DXC is gaining momentum after months of rebuilding from the lows. The recent acceleration in price, together with stronger trading activity, suggests that investor interest is returning and the market is beginning to reassess the company’s valuation.
A key catalyst is the report that DXC is in advanced talks to sell its insurance software and services business for roughly $2.4 billion. If completed, the transaction could give DXC greater flexibility to simplify its portfolio, strengthen capital allocation and concentrate resources on higher-priority businesses. The deal is still under discussion, so execution remains a factor investors need to watch.
Technically, the H4 structure has improved significantly. Price is trading firmly above the Ichimoku cloud, while the broader ascending structure remains intact. The breakout above $14.30 also shows that momentum has entered a stronger phase. After such a rapid advance, a controlled pullback toward the $13.85–$14.30 area would be healthy and could provide a better foundation for the next leg higher.
My preferred scenario is for DXC to consolidate above the breakout area and attract fresh demand during any pullback. If buyers continue to defend this structure, I would expect the bullish expansion to resume toward the $18.00–$18.50 target zone. The upcoming earnings report will be an important test of whether improving market expectations are supported by the company’s operating performance.
Overall, I remain bullish on DXC. Improving investor participation, potential strategic changes and a strong technical structure continue to support the upside case. I favor building exposure on controlled pullbacks while the broader trend remains intact.
