GOLD: Gold H1 Analysis – October 19

GOLD: Gold H1 Analysis – October 19

Gold OANDA:XAUUSD

📰 Gold Market News and Developments

Gold is currently trading around 4,180 USD/oz, supported by a decline in U.S. Treasury yields and expectations that the Federal Reserve will not tighten monetary policy in the near term. Additionally, geopolitical developments and fluctuations in the USD continue to influence demand for gold as a safe-haven asset.

However, persistent inflation in the U.S. keeps the outlook for Fed interest rates uncertain. Should the USD and Treasury yields rebound, gold may face downward pressure.

📊 Technical Perspective
Gold is currently supported by falling U.S. Treasury yields and the expectation that the Fed will maintain current interest rates.

The price is trading above all four Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), indicating that short-term recovery momentum remains dominant. Nevertheless, as the EMA100 remains below the EMA200 and the bearish trendline has not been decisively broken, there is insufficient evidence to confirm that a full-fledged uptrend has been established.

🔎 Potential Entry Zones (subject to confirming signals):
🟢 BUY Zone: 4,160 – 4,154
This is the nearest support area on the chart, coinciding with the EMA50, EMA100, and EMA200, as well as a designated "demand zone" (marked in green).
- Look for BUY opportunities when the price pulls back to this area, provided it holds as support and shows signs of a rebound.
- If this support level is broken by a strong H1 candle, wait for further confirmation before considering any BUY positions.

🔴 SELL Zone: 4,195 – 4,200
This is a significant supply zone, situated near the bearish trendline that connects previous highs. The price has repeatedly faced selling pressure in this area.
- Look for SELL opportunities if a price rejection candle or a clear reversal pattern emerges on the H1 timeframe. - If the H1 candle closes firmly above 4,200, exercise caution regarding a SELL scenario, as a breakout could occur.
